From Boats of the Norfolk Broads
Owing to the success of the hull design, a consortium of boatyard owners, headed by John Linford of Neatishead Boatyard, approached Rip Martins and asked him to join them in building hulls of differing sizes. The resulting company, Aquafibre, began moulding a 30 foot sister to the Griffin 35 and this is the basis for the subsequent, and very popular, Ocean 30 series, hence many of these craft appear in both listings.
- ↑ My thanks go to Chris Kirk and Malcolm Martins for supplying the background history to the Bourne designs.
