From Boats of the Norfolk Broads
Martham Boats, or Martham Boat Building and Development Company produced a fleet of very characteristic wooden cruisers. They had one serious limitation to contend with - all the boats had to be able to get under Potter Heigham Bridge (the smallest navigable bridge on the Broads), because their boatyard is upstream of the bridge.
As testament to their quality, a high proportion of these boats are still in service, many still at Martham Boats, but several now have private owners.
